My Memorial Day Weekends are generally spent thinking about many of my buddies and family who have passed on, but this Memorial Day Weekend turned out to be a little different because when I opened my email today I found something that quite frankly pissed me off.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t in the least bit object to Northtown Auto Liquidators, LLC donating a portion of their sales to the very worthy organization Veterans Community Response and offering a deal to Vets.

My objection is to using Ozzie Knezovich’s close friend Phil Tyler as the Pitchman given that although Tyler would like to try and take advantage of “Veteran Owned Business” status he was not Honorably Discharged from the United States Air Force, and in fact received a General Discharge resulting from an Article 15 Domestic Violence Issue.

Admittedly, I’m no marketing expert but I’m at a lose as to how using Tyler as a Pitchman would benefit VCR or Northwest Auto Liquidators given his well-publicized history.

I seriously doubt that any of the women who have given statements during the Fossum Investigation about Knezovich and Tyler would be impressed with the Pitch, and even some Vets if they knew the history might feel the same way, to say nothing of the folks who have tried to distance themselves from Tyler since some of the truth stated to come out… but then again, I’m no marketing expert.

We now have some new on the record information regarding the Pump Ozzie Video posted on Ozzie’s Re-election FB Page and the Spokane Valley PD Facebook Page. Ozzie’s friends at “American Patriots Unsung Magazine state that they made the video at no cost to anyone except themselves because Ozzie is their guy.

 The video subsequently ends up on Ozzie’s Re-election FB Page giving his followers in this election year the opportunity to comment and tell everyone how they love him, I’m not quite sure what “BM Peets” has to do with it other than that was a fake Facebook Persona Brandi Peetz used to use.

As we all know the video also appeared on the Spokane Valley Police Departments Official Facebook Page where folks including Ozzie’s opponent Scott Maclay get to comment. The post remains there as of today, so Ozzie must not be too concerned about a PDC complaint from Maclay or anyone else for that matter otherwise he would likely have his staunch political supporter and Spokane Valley Police Chief Mark Werner remove it after all Ozzie is the top dog.

One must keep in mind that Ozzie has been involved in PDC Complaints before, so he knows even if one is filed against him not much if anything will happen.

It appears to me that if a complaint is made to the PDC they will have to take a look at whether or not Ozzie’s friends at “American Patriots Unsung Magazine” provided Ozzie with a “In-Kind Contribution”?

As many of the victims of his threats know he spends some time trying to figure out a way to try and intimidate people to prevent the truth from coming out, by threatening all kinds of things, like harassment charges, defamation and libel lawsuits, “weaponizing” Public Records Requests, and anything else he can come up with.

 

For those of you that aren’t aware, Ozzie’s threat of defamation and libel suits against the women in County Detention Services as a result of this Facebook Post which helped to bring about the Fossum Investigation didn’t do Ozzie much good, because they have talked and have provided documents to the investigator that provide a pretty good picture of how Ozzie ran the Spokane County Jail.

Ozzie’s threatening response didn’t intimidate the women and only served to add to their desire to bring the truth forward.

As you can see from this weekends mail exchange between Ozzie and myself Ozzie is still under the impression that he can threaten and try and intimidate me into not trying to get to the truth.

Although Ozzie has been counseled against the kind conduct documented in the emails above (which are Public Records), he just seems not to be able to help himself.

The reference to “Wiyrick” in the emails is a reference to former Spokane County Undersheriff Dave Wiyrick an individual Ozzie was accused of assaulting which was investigated by the Washington State Patrol. I had to do a Public Records Request to obtain the investigative report regarding that assault allegation which turned out to provide considerable information including Ozzie’s false claim that his election opponent Scott Maclay assaulted his wife Paula Knezovich, that false claim could very well end up being very problematic for Ozzie in the near future. The false claim that Wiyrick paid then Sheriff Mark Sterk a $5,000.00 bribe to get his Undersheriff position may also come back to haunt Ozzie.

There are many interesting things in the WSP Investigation including Ozzie’s statements about his previous election opponent Doug Orr, but I thought I would hit some of the highlights.

The Benton County Prosecutor who acted as a special Prosecutor for the City of Spokane attached more credibility to Wiyrick than he did Knezovich:

Ozzie’s good friend Rick Stewart recently posted an obvious campaign video on his Facebook Page extolling what he apparently believes are Ozzie Knezovich’s virtues. Ozzie of course liked Stewart’s FB Post.

The problem for Ozzie is that the video was quickly posted on the Spokane Valley PD’s Facebook website. The Spokane Valley Police Department is of course a Public Law Enforcement Agency run by none other than Ozzie Knezovich. So, the question becomes whether or not this constitutes yet another campaign violation for Knezovich.

If you happen to watch the video linked above you will see that it is a quite well-done production and something that cost some bucks to produce so who actually produced the video may become a factor, and as of today Ozzie has not reported an in-kind contribution or expense or the video production something I would think if a complaint is filed the PDC would have to investigate.

As for me I always believed that “LIVING BY YOUR WORD and “KEEPING THE PUBLIC TRUST” meant following the law and rules, but what would I know?
