Continuation of Part One and Part Two:
Perhaps the best example of exactly where SPD and City Hall are today can be found in the email sent by Captain Brad Arleth to his Boss Assistant Chief Craig Meidl, on December 23rd, 2015, and Meidl’s subsequent response. Leading up to the 23rd email is Arleth’s heads-up to his staff.
But lets start here:
On Monday December 21st, 2015 11:35 AM Arleth sends this email to his staff, which apparently includes the evidence photos showing the BS coming from City Hall, and basically says we will do what we are told even if it is BS.
What strikes me as very odd regarding this email is that although there is a copy of it in the IA Report there is no real mention of it in the “Investigation”. The copy of the email also demonstrates a cardinal-rule of what NOT to do as an Investigator (Later Story Parts).
On Wednesday December 23rd, 2015 11:13 AM Arleth sends an email to Meidl asking for clarification of the “I da Little Boss” email Judy knight distributed on Friday December 18th, 2015.
The critical thing to understand in this email is that Arleth is not only seeking clarification he is also pointing out with appropriate evidence including providing a witness, Gloria Wood, that Ed Lukas who was never interviewed in this IA “Investigation” is full of horse stuff.
*** A mistake Arleth made in his email above to Meidl was the way he handled the Ed Lukas evidence.
When you are dealing with Cronies, and Arleth was, the first paragraph of his email should have read like this and not presented in the third paragraph.
Assistant Chief Meidl,
I have a very legitimate concern that that SPD leadership is NOT being provided with true and correct information from Mr. Lukas and I am of the strong opinion that yourself and Chief Dobrow need to look into this further so a decision isn’t hastily made which might not be in the best interests of SPD or the Citizens we serve…then you go into your evidence and you put the proverbial turd on the Cronies plate.
There is also the Breen way…but that might get you a letter anyway. 🙂
On Wednesday December 23rd, 2015 at 1:05 PM according to the IA Report, in response to Arleth’s email Meidl sends this voice message to Arleth.
On Wednesday December 23rd, 2015 at 1:31 PM Meidl documents his voicemail message to Arleth.
You might notice that the email documenting the voice message makes NO reference whatsoever to the fact that he (Meidl) admitted in the voice massage that SPD is being run entirely from City Hall. Perhaps he thought the voice message wouldn’t come to light.
This email interaction clearly demonstrates just how gutless, and shameless the SPD leaders have been and continue to be. You have a precinct Captain clearly telling and documenting to the Assistant Chief of Police, and now the Interim Chief of Police, that crony Ed Lukas is either NOT telling the truth in official City Correspondence or as the City’s Assets Manager he doesn’t have a clue what Assets the City has.
It further demonstrates that no matter how right the underlings might be… SPD leadership won’t even bother to check the facts before they “Salute” and “Kiss Ass” in order to perpetuated the Administrations Agenda no matter how flawed.

Now I understand why finding a new chief is so damn difficult. No leader worth their rank would want to be chief of the SPD with a meddling city admin such as the Condon gang. It is clear from this series of 3 articles that city admin micromanages every damn aspect of the SPD; right down to used office furniture. ONLY a Condon crony could endure such scrutiny.

Yep! But the IA case even gets more revealing. It is amazing to me…well maybe not… that NONE, Zero, nada, Condon Cronies were interviewed when in reality they were the key to the door!

At this point, Buff, nothing about Condon’s Crony Central (aka City Hall) surprises me. A gang of incompetent jr. high school mentality mean girls; one and all up to and including the mayor. With the insight that your reporting provides, now I understand HOW and WHY Dr. Straub was the mayor’s pick for chief; he fit right in with the culture at Condon Crony Central.

Just as I expected, much ado over nothing. BIG MOMMA got her booby in a vise and an officer was wrongly ‘investigated’ for insubordination; over shabby used furniture.
And this illustrates exactly WHY this city is in deep doo-doo.
